Even if your company isn't ready to put up its own web site, you can probably still benefit from
access to the Internet. Many small companies have been slow to provide there employees with access to the Internet because installing modems and phone lines at everyone's desk is expensive--and it seems there should be a better way.
Actually there is. If you answer "yes" to any of the following, Vanishing Clouds may be able to save you money, improve your competitiveness, and/or boost your bottom line.
- Do you do any engineering or design work?
- Do you source parts, raw materials, or goods for resale that are available from more than one supplier?
- Do you place a large number of (even small value) orders each week?
- Do you need to perform research (look up
public records, find statistics, etc.) in the course of your work?
Does anyone in your organization spend time on the phone each month getting service or ordering supplies/parts?
Do you have more than 10 computers? Do you currently have three or more "dial up" accounts for specific individuals or computers? Or do you wish you did? Do any of your competitors have a web site?Do your customers use e-mail? Do your suppliers?Do you sell to other businesses, especially medium- to large-sized ones?
If you answered "yes" to any of these, then we should probably talk about networking strategies that can improve your business.
